The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) successfully received six awards at the Malam Anugerah Insan UGM Berprestasi 2025, held on Tuesday, December 9, 2024, at Grha Sabha Pramana UGM.
At this prestigious awarding ceremony, FEB UGM earned recognition in six different categories. The awards include the category of Pioneer in the Empowerment of Disadvantaged, Frontier, and Outermost Regions, which was awarded to FEB UGM alumnus Robert P. Fanggidae, S.E.; the category of Collaborative Research in the Theme of Sociocultural Community Resilience, awarded to Prof. Wakhid Slamet Ciptono; the category of Inspirational Education Personnel in Planning, Finance, and Facilities, awarded to Normalita Oktaviantini, S.Ak.; the category of Innovation in Developing Micro-Credential Modules on the UGM Online Platform, awarded to Dede Putra Firmansyah, A.Md.; the category of Prospective Recipient of the 2025 PDDIKTI Award at the University Level in the Master’s Program category, awarded to the Master of Management Study Program; and the title of 3rd Best Implementing Public Information Management Officer (PPID) 2025.
FEB UGM Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Bayu Sutikno, S.E., M.S.M., Ph.D., expressed his appreciation and pride for the achievements of faculty members, professional staff, alums, and units within FEB UGM who received the 2025 UGM Distinguished Achievers Awards. He stated that these accomplishments reflect their commitment and professionalism in delivering the best for all stakeholders. “Of course, this is not the end of our continuous efforts to improve the competencies of lecturers, professional staff, alumni, work units, and, of course, our students,” he said.
Meanwhile, FEB UGM Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni, Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., congratulated Robert P. Fanggidae, S.E., an FEB UGM alumnus who won the award in the category of Pioneer in the Empowerment of Disadvantaged, Frontier, and Outermost Regions. He emphasized that this recognition reaffirms that FEB UGM—and UGM in general—produces alums who can make significant contributions to society and create a lasting impact. He added that the Faculty encourages alums to innovate within their respective fields, share their innovations for collective learning, and collaborate with the academic community in education, research, and community engagement.
Chair of the Master of Management (MM) Study Program, Yogyakarta Campus, Prof. Amin Wibowo, S.E., M.B.A., Ph.D., highlighted that the MM UGM Study Program has earned the title of Best Recipient of the PD DIKTI Award for the Master’s Program category for two consecutive years since 2024. He explained that this achievement is the result of collective hard work, collaboration, and commitment from lecturers, study programs, departments, the Faculty, and the university. “As program managers, we extend our appreciation and gratitude for the dedication of all parties mentioned above. Moving forward, we will continue to improve ourselves, and therefore we look forward to continuous support from the university, Faculty, departments, lecturers, and professional staff,” he concluded.
