UGM has again hosted the UGM Expo 2015 from 28 September – 2 October 2015, held in Grha Sabha Pramana hall with the theme Synergy of Knowledge from Upstream to Downstream. Committee Chairman, Prof. Dr. Harno Dwi Pranowo, M.Si, said the synergy was a representation of the multi-disciplines existing at UGM. To do this, the Expo is arranged
according to the zonation.
“There are 8 zones, science and technopark, food sovereignty, energy, governance and local wisdom, health and drugs, disaster and environment, university supporting zones, and market place zone,” said Harno on Monday (28/9).
Harno added these aimed at generating the spirit of synergy between faculties in order that they can give contributions to the nation.
“The theme is aligned with the theme of the 66th UGM anniversary,” he said.
Vice-Rector for Research and Community Service, Prof. Dr. Suratman, said hopefully the UGM Expo 2015 would explore research outcomes to be presented to society and industry. The Expo, Suratman said, would become a forum for cooperation between UGM, government, industry, business world, and society.
