The MENEFEST 2026 Charity Run was held successfully on Saturday, May 23, 2026, attracting 450 runners from diverse backgrounds. The event was part of the Management Festival (MENEFEST) 2026, organized by the Management Student Association (IKAMMA) of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM).
Carrying the theme “Endorphins: Steps We Take, Light We Create,” the event aimed to inspire enthusiasm, motivation, and hope through sports and collective social action.
Dhafa Novendra (Management 2025), Chair of the MENEFEST 2026 Organizing Committee, explained that this year’s charity run featured two race categories: 5K and 10K. The event also welcomed Sabian Tama, a running influencer, as a guest star. During the event, Sabian shared his experiences and offered practical tips for beginner runners.
In addition to celebrating the anniversary of the Management Program at FEB UGM through a sporting event, MENEFEST 2026 also carried out a social initiative by donating funds raised from the charity run. The collected donations were distributed to SD Negeri Karangwuni 1 in Depok, Sleman, on Friday, May 29, 2026.
“We delivered the proceeds from the charity run to SD Negeri Karangwuni 1. In addition, we also provided nutrition education to the students,” said Dhafa.
Through this activity, participants not only gained health benefits from exercising but also had the opportunity to contribute to meaningful social causes within the community.
“We hope that everyone who participated has indirectly contributed to the charitable cause. In this way, participants not only improve their health but also create a positive social impact for others,” Dhafa concluded.
