Build Facilities for Students, FEB UGM Collaborate with CIMB Niaga

Along with the achievements of accreditation, the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas of Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) is committed to developing learning facilities, one of which is by adding Digital Student Lounge facilities. This time, FEB UGM cooperated with CIMB Niaga in developing the facility. The facilities developed are the CIMB Niaga Digital Lounge - the Offline Center for Technology and Observation Laboratory (OCTO Lab) and the Student Club Lounge which later become a place for students to study and observe banking technology as well as the room for Student Activity Unit.
The location to develop this facility is being placed on the north side of the FEB UGM building which is currently used by the Student Association secretariat. The development of this learning facility has been through a long process. Starting from the socialization to students on various occasions, up to a special technical session of transferring the items from the secretariat of student associations.
The sign of the development carried out on September 25, 2019 was attended by Representatives of the Directors of CIMB Niaga, Representatives of the Law Offices and Organizations of UGM, Representatives of the UGM Cooperation Office, FEB UGM officials, student representatives, and education staff. On this occasion, Riad Usman as a representative of CIMB Niaga said that the banking sector is ready to support the learning process at higher education institutions and facilitate digital transactions at universities. In line with this, Eko Suwardi, Ph.D as a Dean of FEB UGM said that the need for close collaboration with banks is a form of synergy between the academic world and industry. "On this occasion it was also a very good collaboration to support the cashless society campaign promoted by FEB UGM," said Eko Suwardi.
