Master of Science and Doctoral Program Launches 8th Book Themed Artificial Intelligence Based Research

Friday (29/09), Master of Science and Doctoral Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MD FEB UGM), held the 43rd Anniversary Celebration and the 8th Book Launch. Fu’ad Rahman, M.Sc., Ph.D., representative of the MD program manager, gave a speech and read a report. Currently, the number of active students in the MD program is recorded at 361, with details of 223 students in the Master of Science program and 138 students in the Doctoral program. To date, MD FEB UGM has published eight books. Over the past year, MD has implemented various programs, including the REACH program, seminars/webinars, public lectures, workshops, thesis teaching, and publication coaching clinics. He also told the long history of MD FEB UGM since it was first established on January 17 1976. Bayu Sutikno, S.E., M.S.M., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs FEB UGM, gave a speech on the next occasion.

Prof. Jogiyanto Hartono M., M.B.A., Ph.D., Chair of Study Program of Doctor in Accounting, guided the launch of the eighth book of the MD program entitled “Riset Berbasis Kecerdasan Buatan: Metoda dan Aplikasi Ekonomi dan Bisnis”. He is the editor and co-writer of the book. According to Prof. Jogiyanto, the topics raised in this book are closely related to research and the latest developments surrounding artificial intelligence (AI). “We believe that AI will become a new paradigm in encouraging lecturers and students to learn to apply it in the research process,” he said. This topic aligns with Sustainable Development Goals no. 4: Quality Education. Prof. Jogiyanto also expressed his gratitude to all parties who contributed and supported until this book was successfully launched. On this occasion, Prof. Jogiyanto invited all book authors onstage. Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, Ph.D., handed over the book during the photo session with all the authors.
