The Dean of FEB Asks Graduate Program Graduates Alumni to Be the Driving Forces of Development

The Faculty of Economics and Business at Gadjah Mada University (FEB UGM) graduated 180 master’s and doctoral program students during the Postgraduate Graduation Ceremony for the Fourth Period of the 2023/2024 Academic Year. These FEB UGM graduates previously participated in the university-level graduation ceremony led by the Rector of UGM and other students from various faculties.
The Dean of FEB UGM, Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, S.E., M.Com., Ak., CA., congratulated the FEB graduates who have successfully navigated a long journey of challenges, hard work, and dedication throughout their studies.
“The long journey that all of you have undertaken to earn your Master’s and Doctoral degrees was certainly not easy. Today, all that effort and hard work has paid off with remarkable achievements,” he remarked during the graduation release ceremony for the Master’s and Doctoral Programs on Wednesday (24/7) at the FEB UGM Master of Science and Doctoral Auditorium.
Didi hopes the graduates can contribute to society and the nation. Graduates are expected to have a vital concern for issues related to the welfare of the community and the people and to possess high-reaching thoughts.
“The hope is that FEB UGM postgraduate graduates can become representatives of people’s and national universities. Graduates can have distinct characteristics and become driving forces in their respective fields, contributing to the nation,” he expressed.
This aligns with FEB UGM’s mission to foster future leaders in economics and business to develop aspects of sustainability. Sustainability aspects are not only related to environmental issues but also to diversity and accessibility.
In this period, FEB UGM successfully graduated 180 students, comprising 8 Master of Science in Accounting graduates, 26 Master of Accounting graduates, 2 Master of Science in Economics graduates, 6 Master of Science in Management graduates, 17 Master of Development Economics graduates, and 60 Master of Management graduates from the Yogyakarta campus. Additionally, there were 57 Master of Management graduates from the Jakarta campus, 3 Doctor of Management graduates, and 1 Doctor of Accounting graduate.
The title of the best graduate in this postgraduate period was awarded to Agnes Puspitasari, with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.97, achieved over one year, seven months, and three days at 36 years, seven months, and 12 days. The youngest graduate was Shofia Kauni from the Master of Management Program, aged 23 years, two months, and seven days. The graduate with the fastest study period was Stephanus Bimo Dwi Prasetyo, who completed the Master of Management Program in 1 year, two months, and ten days.
