FEB UGM Student Elected as Chair of FoSSEI 2024

Mumtaz Humam Alfian Zulva (Management 2021), a student from the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), has been elected Chair of the Forum for Islamic Economic Studies (FoSSEI) for the 2024–2025 term.
Mumtaz, a 2021 student of the Management Study Program, was chosen as the chair through the FoSSEI National Work Meeting held on November 13–18, 2024, at Taman Candra Wilwatikta, Pasuruan, East Java.
In assuming this responsibility, Mumtaz emphasized his academic and practical mission of empowering and developing Islamic economic systems. Additionally, he aims to foster ukhuwah Islamiyah (Islamic brotherhood) among Islamic economics study groups and similar institutions by promoting an Islamic, scientific, and professional culture.
"My vision is the Global Implementation of Islamic Teachings in Economics," he stated recently.
The Forum for Islamic Economic Studies (FoSSEI) is a student organization that facilitates networking among student advocates of Islamic economics from various Islamic Economic Study Groups (KSEI). Its goal is to cultivate a divine (Rabbani) economic system that can compete globally. The forum includes 256 universities across Indonesia and more than 7,752 active members.
