Until now, waste is still a severe problem for the world community, including Indonesia. The government has also promoted the idea of a circular economy to solve this waste problem. UGM Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) lecturer and circular economy expert, Luluk Lusiantoro, S.E., M.Sc., PhD, emphasized the importance of changing the perspective or mindset of all parties in managing waste, both by the community as consumers and business people or company as a manufacturer. According to him, understanding the waste problem is not just about waste management but the system as a whole.

Five (5) study programs at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UGM achieved Superior accreditation from the Lembaga Akreditasi Mandiri Ekonomi Manajemen Bisnis dan Akuntansi (LAMEMBA). The five study programs are the Bachelor of Accounting Study Program, the Bachelor of Business Management Study Program, the Master in Accounting Study Program, the Master in Management Study Program, Jakarta Campus, and the Doctor in Management Study Program.

The Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) received CSR assistance in the form of a Smart Interactive Board or digital whiteboard from PT Dahua Vision Technology Indonesia to support educational, research, and community service activities by the FEB UGM academic community. The handover of aid was carried out directly by the Country Director of PT Dahua Vision Technology Indonesia, Royce Ouyang, to the Dean of FEB UGM, Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, S.E., M.Com., Ak., CA., Thursday (14/3) at the FEB UGM Alumni Hall. The smart interactive board is worth IDR 250,000,000.00.

Harvard University witnessed the presence of I Gusti Ayu Maresta Amrita Puspa Pujawati, an Economics undergradute student from the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), in the prestigious Harvard Project College for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR) Harvard Conference 2024, which will be held in Cambridge, Boston, on February 9-11 2024. HPAIR has successfully organized 50 conferences in 20 different host countries worldwide since 1991. This year, HCONF carries the "Charting New Horizons: Mapping Present & Future" conference theme. The HCONF aims to connect current global leaders with future leaders in a dynamic forum of idea exchange.

As part of the Master Studies in Sustainable Development and Management (MASUDEM) Consortium activities, Prof. Nurul Indarti, Ph.D., a member of the Steering Committee from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), attended the Steering Committee Meeting in Budapest, Hungary, from 21-23 February 2024. The consortium, funded by the Erasmus+ European Union, is a collaboration between three universities in Indonesia (Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesian Islamic University, Trisakti University), three in Thailand (ICONIDA, Srinakharinwirot, and Naresuan University, Bangkok), and partner universities from Europe, namely: University of Economics, Bratislava (Slovakia), Universidad Pablo De Olavide, Seville (Spain), Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Budapest (Hungary), and Mendel University, Brno (Czech Republic). The consortium aims to design or update the curriculum related to sustainability in the Master of Management Program.

Wednesday (21/02), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) graduating as many as 1577 graduates of the Undergraduate Program and Applied Undergraduate Program period II for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. The event was held offline at Grha Sabha Pramana (GSP) and broadcast live via the Universitas Gadjah Mada YouTube channel. The ceremony started at 09.00 WIB, accompanied by gamelan singing, the playing of the song Indonesia Raya, and the UGM March. The ceremony opened with an opening by the Chancellor of UGM, Prof. Dr. Ova Emilia, M.Med., Ed., Sp.OG(K)., Ph.D. "After you complete your education, Gadjah Mada University hopes that you will remain committed to the development of science and technology, as well as upholding the alma mater of Gadjah Mada University," said the Rector.
