FEB UGM Releases 169 Graduates from Undergraduate Programs at the 4th Period of Graduation for the 2023/2024 Academic Year

The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, M.Com., Ak., C.A. has officially released 169 undergraduate students, consisting of 143 regular program graduates and 26 International Undergraduate Program (IUP) graduates. The graduation ceremony for Period IV of the 2023/2024 academic year was held on Wednesday (August 28, 2024) at the Learning Center Hall of FEB UGM.

Didi said that in the August 2024 graduation period, FEB UGM graduated 169 students, including 85 graduates of the Accounting Program, 37 graduates of the Economics Program, and 47 graduates of the Management Program. Among them, 128 graduates achieved the cum laude distinction.

“We are proud to announce that 128 graduates have achieved cum laude status. This is an extraordinary and proud achievement for all of us,” he said during his speech at the graduation ceremony of FEB UGM on Wednesday (August 28).

Didi also mentioned that FEB UGM is exceptionally proud of several graduates who have achieved various successes in national and international competitions during their studies. In addition, FEB UGM appreciates the 21 graduates who received the Indonesia Smart College Card (KIP-K) scholarship in the current academic year.

“This is proof that with hard work and determination, there are no obstacles that cannot be overcome,” he explained.

Didi emphasized that graduation is a special day, not only because the graduates have completed their studies but also because they are ready to take the following steps in life, armed with the knowledge and experience they have gained at FEB UGM. In his closing remarks, Didi also advised the graduates to pursue careers in the workforce and create job opportunities for the wider community.

On that occasion, KAFEGAMA presented study assistance from KAFEGAMA to nine undergraduate students of FEB UGM. The assistance was symbolically handed over by the Deputy Chairman of PP KAFEGAMA, the Head of KAFEGAMA DIY Regional Board, Dr. Bogat Agus Riyono, M.Sc., Ak., to two student representatives.
Previously, Bogat also delivered a speech as a representative of KAFEGAMA. The man, who also serves as the President Director of PT Saraswanti Indoland Development, offered various advice to the FEB UGM graduates. Additionally, he had the opportunity to pin the KAFEGAMA badge on the three top graduates from the Management, Accounting, and Economics programs.

At this graduation ceremony, Shalsadilla Nadya Prameswary of the IUP Management Program was awarded the title of top graduate with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.93, completing her studies in 3 years, 10 months, and 10 days. The youngest graduate was Della Rosa Sukma Ayu Karno of the Management Program, who graduated in 20 years, 11 months, and 10 days. Finally, the fastest graduate was Lathifah Alfi Rahmawati from the Accounting program, who completed her studies in 3 years, seven months, and ten days.

The Dean of FEB UGM, Prof. Didi Achjari, S.E., M.Com, Ak., CA., stated that FEB UGM’s seven decades of journey reaffirm its commitment to continue providing knowledge and practices in economics and business that are genuinely beneficial to society while being oriented towards sustainability.

Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Emphasizes Big Data Optimization for Accelerating Digital Transformation

The Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Nezar Patria, S.Fil., M.Sc., M.B.A., emphasized the importance of optimizing big data in regional government governance to accelerate digital transformation.

“The use of big data enables significant leaps in the public sector by offering accuracy and speed, thereby accelerating public services,” he explained on Thursday (18/9/2025) at the MM FEB UGM Auditorium.

As the keynote speaker at the National Seminar and the Gadjah Mada Digital Transformation Governance Index (GM-DTGI) Awarding for District/City Regional Governments 2025, Nezar stated that the use of data from open sources increases transparency and accountability, thus strengthening public trust.
