FEB Student Won 1st Place in Shariah Business Solution SESSION 2017

A glorious achievement has been made by the students of Faculty of Economic and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada. Gadjah Mada Team consisting of Nadia Putri Lingga (Accounting 2015), Reza Fernandes (Economics 2015), and Ega Kurnia Yazid (Economics 2015) managed to snatched the first place in Sharia Economic Acts In Innovation (SESSION) – Shariah Business Solution, it’s a business case competition held by the Student Board of Shariah Economic Forum Universitas Gadjah Mada, on October 19-21, 2017.

SESSION 2017 promoted the of Implementing Islamic Economy Toward Indonesia As The Center of Halal Lifestyle. SESSION consisted 3 stages of qualifications; registration and the release of study cases of 41 teams, submission of solution analysis from case study, and final event held in Yogyakarta. There were 10 finalists which were from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Institut Pertanian Bogor, Sekolah Tinggi Ekonomi Islam Tazkia, Sekolah Tinggi Ekonomi Islam Sebi, Universitas Brawijaya, Universitas Darussalam Gontor, Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Negeri Kediri, Universitas Negeri Malang, Universitas Airlangga. The event of the final event was proposal presentation of business case solution which was already made, tourist village, and an essay regarding the result of observation and conference.

By promoting the theme of Implementing Islamic Economy Toward Indonesia As The Center of Halal Lifestyle, it was expected to encourage young generations to make halal lifestlye as a chance of business to apply islamic economy in Indonesia. In this competition, three main winners and two favorite essays were chosen. The first winner was Universitas Gadjah Mada, the second one was Sekolah Tinggi Ekonomi Islam Tazkia, and the thirs winner was from Universitas Brawijaya. The first favorite essay winner was from Universitas Darusslam Gontor and the second favorite essay winner was from Institut Pertanian Bogor
