EURECA 2018

Three undergraduate students of Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) consisting of; Satrio Adi Wbowo (Economics 2015), Gabriel Pierre (Economics 2015), and R. Daffa Favia DA (Economics – IUP 2015) won First Winner in Business Plan Competition at Entrepreneur Creative Challenge (EURECA) 2018 on Wednesday (28/3). In addition, Gabriel Pierre won Best Speaker in the competition.

EURECA 2018 is a competition held by Student Board 2017/2018 S1 Universitas Prasetya Mulya. The competition consists of 3 main events including BPC (Business Plan Competition), MPC (Marketing Plan Competition) and MDC (Debate Management Debate). EURECA 2018 raised the theme ULTIMATE with the tagline “Utilizing the Market to Increase Business Potential”. The word “ULTIMATE” itself has a fundamental or basic meaning. One of the foundations to be considered by the nation’s next generation entrepreneurs is to understand the market situation in order to optimize the business in this modern era, where there is a decline in the consumption patterns of the Indonesian community from non-recreational consumption to casual consumption. Being an entrepreneur, sensitivity is required in analyzing the market situation in order to maintain the existence of a business supported by innovative ideas relevant to the times. The theme raised for EURECA 2018 has the aim to awaken young entrepreneurs in developing the business while keeping in mind the market situation, not only innovating in terms of consumption of goods but also innovating in consumption-based business.

Business plan contest is a competition consisting of 2 categories, namely high school and university category. The purpose of this competition is to become a forum for participants in developing creative and innovative business ideas. Where after collecting business plan files, the best 15 teams from each category will follow the preparatory stage of the competition to the early stage, ie rocket stage. At this stage of the rocket, the participants will present the business idea they have created before the judges. Prior to following the rocket stage, participants will also follow the coaching business and field trips are ready to provide insight to the participants in the cultivation of BPC start up business world. In 2018, EURECA will also hold a business competition for BPC participants, where business races will be held before the participants conduct technical meetings. Participants who win business races will get the privilege of choosing a rocket priority sequence. Our Team PERTOW earned First Place in this Business Plan Competition competition and also our team member Gabriel Pierre won Best Speaker.
