Saturday (11/11) The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), was proud again because two of its students won gold titles at the 2023 Foodtech Creative Competition Festival of Food Technology (FCC FESFOOD). This competition is organized by the Student Study Program Association Food Technology, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Universitas Udayana, to grow young entrepreneurs with ideas and innovations in the food sector. This year's FCC FESFOOD UNUD 2023 has the theme "Driving Change through Young Entrepreneurship: Developing Functional Business to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)".
The Victoria Team from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), consisting of Adella Wahyu Pradita (Accounting 2022), Aurel Diyah Agustin (Accounting 2022), and Dita Ristyani (Health Nutrition 2022), successfully won 1st place in this competition. Victoria's team initiated the business of low-calorie white bread made from banana blossoms and chayote with anthocyanin and fibre content as a healthy food product that contributes to preventing and minimizing obesity in society.
They named this brilliant business idea that contributes to nutritional fulfilment as Nutri Loaf. They claim that this product will be equipped with informative, intelligent packaging that detects the quality of white bread so that it can minimize the risk of food being wasted due to forgetting to consume it. The Nutri Loaf product that the Victoria team initiated, as well as their victory in the 2023 FCC FESFOOD UNUD competition, is in line with SDGs goals 2 and 3, namely realizing Zero Hunger and Good Health and Well Being, and SDGs goal 4, namely Quality Education.
The Victoria team is grateful because the hard work and challenges they faced have paid off. "Our team provides ideas that contribute to the 6 SDGs goals; we also feel proud because, through research and research, we can contribute our ideas to achieve a golden Indonesia 2045," said Aurel. The three members of the Victoria team agreed to use their victory as an opportunity to gain new knowledge and personal development. Congratulations to Team Victoria for their achievements; may they always be proud and inspiring!
