Selected competitively from 164 proposals submitted to Indonesia Financial Services Authority (OJK), Orientaru Team, consisting of Veronika Xaveria (Management-IUP 2016), Erica Lesmana (Accounting 2017), and Yudhi Permadi (Accounting 2017) have won the 1st Place of Financial Inclusion Competition (KOINKU) held by Indonesia Financial Services Authority (OJK) with this year’s theme "Women's Economic Empowerment through Financial Inclusion Programs".

In commemoration of the 71st Anniversary, Universitas Gadjah Mada gave awards to the academics, ranging from students, lecturers, educators to UGM alumni who have successfully made achievements both at the international, national, and university levels. The award was given on Wednesday (4/11) ago. Unfortunately, the award that is usually held at the Balairung is now being carried out online considering the pandemic condition which requires physical distancing. However, the essence of giving the award remains the same, even the recipients of the award were very enthusiastic about participating in the whole event.

Two undergraduate students of the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM consist of Dwiki Darmawan (Accounting 2017) and Leila Chanifah Zuhri (Accounting 2017) who are members of the WTP Team won the 1st place in the 2020 National Student Competition for Business, Management, and Finance (KBMK) in the category of Financial Audit Investigative which was held on September 25-27, 2020.

Undergraduate student of Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada, Samuel T.M. Silitonga (Accounting 2015) made an achievement for Universitas Gadjah Mada by being chosen as one of the delegates at World Entrepreneurship Investment Forum 2019. Samuel was chosen to be a delegates after going through a competitive startup competition through Young Business Hub (YBH) in which platform receives at least 1246 startups with 14000+ participants from 112 countries. From thousands of startups and participants, screening process was conducted to select around 50 best delegations from 24 countries in the world, as well as all costs of travel and accommodation costs borne by sponsor of the event (fully-funded). Young Business Hub (YBH) itself is organized by the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF - OIC Youth Forum) which also works with UNIDO ITPO Bahrain and the Union of Arab Chambers.

The NL_lone team from Universutas Gadjah Mada consisting of M. Sulthan Farras Nanz (Management 2016), Antonius Yonanda (Information Technology 2016), and Aditya Laksana Suwandi (Information Technology 2015) won the 2nd place in the Toyota Fun Code Hackathon 2019, category of Disability. This competition has been held on 2-3 November 2019 at Candi Bentar Hall, Putri Duyung Cottage Ancol, Jakarta.

Three students of the undergraduate program in Accounting, Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) batch 2016 who joined the Accounting Theory team, namely Michael Dedi P, Rosari Indah C., Lushintya Ayu AP, won the first place in the Paper Researching Contest (PRC) 2019 which was held at the Faculty of Communication and Business, Telkom University.
