The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), welcomed a delegation from Hochschule Osnabrück, Germany, to discuss potential collaboration in research and academic development on Monday, April 28, 2025, at the Dean’s Meeting Room, FEB UGM.
Prof. Dr. Kai-Michael Griese, Senior Lecturer in Marketing, led the Hochschule Osnabrück delegation. It was received by Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, Ph.D., Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Collaboration, and Alumni at FEB UGM, along with Arizona Mustikarini, Ph.D., Head of the Global Relations and Mobility Unit (GREAT).
During the meeting, both institutions explored various forms of potential collaboration, including exchange programs and doctoral program cooperation, joint research, particularly on sustainability and the circular economy, and the possibility of a double degree partnership under the International Doctorate of Business (IDB) program with FEB UGM’s Department of Management. They also discussed faculty mobility opportunities through an open and multidisciplinary approach to encourage knowledge and experience exchange between lecturers from both institutions.
This visit marks a decisive first step by FEB UGM and Hochschule Osnabrück in building a closer partnership, notably to support the internationalization of higher education and strengthen the global research ecosystem.
