FEB UGM Establishes Memorandum of Understanding with Principal Asset Management

The Faculty of Economics and Business UGM (FEB UGM) collaborates with Principal Asset Management in the development of the fields of education, research, and community service.

Located in Kertanegara Room of FEB UGM , Friday (13/03), the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by the Dean of FEB UGM Eko Suwardi, M.Sc., Ph.D., with Chief Executive Officer of the Principal Asset Management of Indonesia, Agung Budiono.

Principal Asset Management is a financial services company, which is 140 years old and based in Lowa, United States, with a nominal management fund in the world of USD 692.2 billion.

The tactical step was carried out as part of realizing progress for Indonesia’s future generations. “The signing of the MoU is our good collaboration between FEB UGM and Principal Asset Management to collaborate in various fields “, said Eko.

Eko added that the existence of the MoU is to started a better future for Indonesia. “We hope that this agreement will bring a better development of FEB UGM human resources, more responsive and ready to face the 4.0, 5.0, and later on,” he said.

Agung Budiono explained that there will be several programs realized by Principal Asset Management together with FEB UGM. The first is Live with Principal, a program that drives millennial empathy to conduct social impact activities and social impact programs. Among them include public lectures, introduction of social impacts & investment impacts, and volunteer programs. Second, the Principal Institute, where the Principal will provide training or training for UGM students on financial literacy, in the case of Islamic Investment and Sustainable Investment. In addition, there is also an Internship Program, namely the provision of internships for FEB UGM students to help students build a mindset of forward thinking solutions, value providers and solution providers for Indonesia.

“Principal Asset Management is ready to assist the government in realizing the Sustainable Development Goals in the program that we will carry out together,” Agung said.

Then, the event continued with the signature of a Memorandum of Understanding between FEB UGM and Principal Asset Management. After the signing is complete, the souvenir exchange is done as part of the commitment of the Principal Asset Management social impact with disabilities to ensure their welfare and independence.
