The Faculty of Economics and Business, Gadjah Mada University (FEB UGM) delivered social assistance to 10 orphanages in Yogyakarta, Sleman, and Bantul on Saturday (30/8/2025). The delivery of this assistance was part of the activities commemorating the 70th Anniversary or Lustrum XIV of FEB UGM.
The Coordinator of Social and Community Service for the XIV Lustrum of FEB UGM, Rico Saktiawan Jang Jaya, S.E., MBA, Ph.D., said that the provision of social assistance was a form of FEB UGM’s concern for children in orphanages in the Yogyakarta area and its surroundings. In addition, the handover of this social assistance is a form of gratitude and sharing happiness in commemorating the 70th Anniversary of FEB UGM.
“We hope this assistance can benefit the children and the extended family of the orphanage,” he said on Saturday (30/8) during the handover of social assistance at FEB UGM.
Meanwhile, the representative of the social assistance recipients, Muhammad Ivani from the Muhammadiyah Ibnu Juraimi Al-Qur’an Tahfidz Islamic Boarding School, expressed his appreciation for the efforts of FEB UGM in showing concern for children in orphanages in Yogyakarta.
“Thank you to FEB UGM for the charitable assistance provided. InsyaAllah, it will benefit us, and may the donors always be blessed,” he said.
Through this activity, FEB UGM reaffirms its commitment to continue spreading the value of social care and making a real contribution to society. The momentum of the 70th Anniversary is expected to be a celebration and a reminder for the entire FEB UGM academic community to continue contributing to creating positive change, both in the surrounding environment and at a broader level.
