Tasyakuran on the 34th Anniversary of MM FEB UGM Study Program

On Saturday (02/07) Master of Management Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (MM FEB UGM) held the 34th Anniversary Celebration. The Anniversary was held on a limited offline basis at the MM FEB UGM Auditorium. This celebration was based on gratitude for the achievements and developments of MM FEB UGM Yogyakarta. It is hoped that this Tasyakuran (ceremonial feast to express gratitude to God) can be an encouragement to increase the success of MM FEB UGM to become a global business school, with global reputation, while still upholding local wisdom symbolized by UGM’s philosophy, which is “Locally Rooted Globally Respected.”

The event started with a welcome speech by the Head of the MM FEB UGM Study Program, Prof. Dr. Eduardus Tandelilin, M.B.A. Prof. Tandelilin opened by appreciating the services of employees, lecturers, and other academics who have served MM FEB UGM and believe in MM FEB UGM as a shared place. Prof. Tandelilin stated that it was togetherness that brought MM FEB UGM to this point. The success of MM FEB UGM is proven by its success in graduating 13,918 alumni. Furthermore, in order to commemorate the history and development of MM FEB UGM, a snapshot of the journey of MM FEB UGM was shown. The flashback started from the starting point of the establishment of MM FEB UGM in 1988 and went through the years, showed class conditions, the joy of alumni, graduations, anniversary celebrations, until reaching the present MM FEB UGM in 2022.

The event continued with remarks by the Secretary General of the Alumni Family of the Faculty of Economics and Business (KAFEGAMA) MM UGM, Risto Samosir, M.M. Risto Samosir wished MM UGM a happy anniversary, emphasized the importance of the strength of the alumni family, and expressed his hope that MM FEB UGM will always contribute to the world of business school education nationally and globally. The celebration was continued with remarks by the Dean of FEB UGM, Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, M.Com., Ak., CA. Prof. Didi welcomed the alumni who were present, prayed for senior alumni who were sick, as well as alumni who had preceded, those who have pioneered MM FEB UGM. Prof. Didi also reiterated two important points of AACSB accreditation, namely thought leadership and societal impact.

The prayer session, led by Muhammad Fatkhan, continued the series of events in 34th Anniversary of MM FEB UGM. It was hoped that MM FEB ‘s academic community would always be given health and strength to improve the performance of MM FEB UGM. The celebration of the 34th Anniversary of MM FEB UGM continued with the procession of cutting the Tumpeng (ceremonial dish of yellow rice served in a cone shape) by the Dean of FEB UGM and handed it over to the Head of the MM FEB UGM Study Program, Yogyakarta and Jakarta campuses.

In this celebration, there was also held the launching of the book 4 Windus of MM FEB UGM “Mencetak Pemimpin Bisnis” (“Developing Business Leaders”), marked by a symbolic handover by the Manager of MM FEB UGM, Amin Wibowo, S.E., M.B.A., Ph.D., to the Rector of UGM, represented by the Vice Rector for Cooperation and Alumni, Prof. Dr. Paripurna, S.H., M. Hum., LL. M. This celebration was also enlivened by the launching of the CFBC-8 case book as known as the 8th series of Indonesian Company Management Cases, marked by the symbolic handover of the book by the Manager of MM FEB UGM, Bowo Setiyono, S.E., M.Com., Ph.D., to the Dean of FEB UGM.

An appreciation event also filled the 34th Anniversary of MM FEB UGM, namely the Awarding of Exemplary Employees of the Jogja Campus, Jakarta Campus, and Wisma MM which was read by the Manager of MM FEB UGM, Rocky Adiguna, SE., M.Sc., Ph.D. The celebration continued with a photo session of the invited guests on the MM FEB UGM Auditorium stage. The photo session also closed the series of events for the 34th Anniversary of MM FEB UGM. After the series of events ended, the attendees were directed to the Student Lounge for the Launching of MM FEB UGM’s Golf Simulator.
