Kantin EB

After two years of not serving food and beverages to the academic community, the EB Canteen officially reopened on Wednesday (7/9). The soft launching of the EB Canteen, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) marks the re-operation of the EB Canteen. The soft launching of the EB Canteen was held in the EB Canteen area, 1st Floor, West Wing, FEB UGM. The soft launching was attended by invited guests from the FEB UGM academic community as well as EB Canteen’s food merchants.

The soft launching event started with remarks by the Dean of FEB UGM, Didi Achjari, Prof. Dr., M.Com., Ak., CA. Prof. Didi was grateful for the re-opening of the EB Canteen and stated that the EB Canteen is not aimed at making profit, but to serve lecturers, students, and educating staffs (tendik) who have had difficulty finding food because the canteens of other faculties are often full and not guaranteed in terms of hygiene. “Hopefully, at FEB this must be maintained, in addition to the motto ‘Delicious and Nutritious’, should also be healthy and affordable,” he added. Student health is also a concern and input from FEB UGM alumni. Prof. Didi continued with his thanks and hope for the EB Canteen: “Thank you Pak Agus and the team for preparing everything, before we renovate to be representative, we call this a soft opening. The hope is that (EB Canteen) can be the best in health and service to the academic community at UGM when it opens outdoors, although of course it is prioritized for the FEB UGM academic community,” he concluded.

The soft launching of the EB Canteen was inaugurated by cutting the ribbon by the Dean of FEB UGM, and opening the canteen’s curtains by representatives of Dharma Wanita FEB UGM accompanied by loud applause from the invited guests. The audience then captured the moment by taking pictures together. Then, the EB Canteen was opened and invited guests were welcome to enjoy dishes from the four available shops, namely Bakso Pak Min, Ayam Geprek Gochik, Rames & Soto Tangkar Pak Paidi, and Nasi Padang Kawan Lamo. The EB canteen is also equipped with QRIS as a practical and convenient means of payment. During the 1st break, FEB UGM students began to arrive to satisfy their hunger and thirst and enjoy the available menus. For the academic community of FEB UGM, we wish you to enjoy the food and drinks at the EB Canteen. Bon appétit!
