Syawalan 1445 H

Faculty of Economics and Business UGM (FEB) held Syawalan in the framework of the Idul Fitri 1445 H gathering, Monday (29/4). This event was attended by the FEB UGM Senate, Representatives of the Dharma Wanita PBB Association, the FEB UGM community, FEB UGM student representatives, Kafegama DIY Representatives, and partners. Syawalan was carried out in a mixed manner, namely in the hall of the FEB UGM Learning Center Building and via Zoom Meetings.

Dean of FEB UGM, Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, M.Com., Ak., CA., invited the entire FEB UGM family to make the month of Shawwal a momentum to forgive each other. “Of course, in a happy atmosphere after fasting, we can meet in halalbihalal. We, on behalf of the faculty leadership, wish you a Happy Eid al-Fitr, taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum,” he said.

The peak of the Syawalan 1445 H event was filled with tausiyah delivered by Ustaz Prof. Ir. Muslikhin Hidayat, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPU, who is the Deputy Dean of the UGM Faculty of Engineering. He said that Syawalan is an essential moment for all Muslims to forgive each other. “With hearts made easy by Allah to apologize and forgive, and facilitated by an environment that provides halalbihalal, such as in offices and housing, people who initially find it difficult to forgive each other become easier to do so,” he said.

Muslikhin said that if the hearts forgive each other, harmony will be created and when working in a team you will feel comfortable. As stated in the Koran, Surah Ali ‘Imran verse 134, one of the characteristics of a pious person is being able to control anger or emotions and forgiving other people’s mistakes. “Every human being must make mistakes, but the difference between a pious person and one who is not is that a pious person will remember Allah and then ask for forgiveness for his sins. “If it can be done (forgiveness), subhanallah, the reward in this world and in the afterlife is certain,” he said.
