The Accounting Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) organized an orientation activity for the new students of the class of 2024 through the KREASI event. This year, FEB UGM welcomed 605 new students, 222 of whom were enrolled in the accounting program.
Gildas, the chair of KREASI 2024, explained that KREASI, an acronym for "Kumpul Rame-rame Anak Akuntansi" (Gathering of Accounting Students), serves as an introduction for new students to various aspects of college life at FEB UGM, especially within the accounting program. This event will help new students adjust well to their academic journey.
"KREASI aims to help new students become more familiar with the academic environment in Accounting at UGM," Gildas said in an interview on Monday (August 26).
Gildas added that through KREASI, new students are introduced to the campus culture, including academic and non-academic activities and social norms within the FEB UGM community. It also aims to develop their potential in both academic and non-academic areas.
The KREASI event is scheduled for August 24, August 31, September 7, and September 14, 2024. KREASI includes a variety of activities, one of which is the Accounting Gathering Night (AGN). AGN is a platform for accounting students at FEB UGM to develop their non-academic skills, particularly in the arts. AGN also marks the conclusion of KREASI activities, celebrates the anniversary of IMAGAMA on September 19, and provides an opportunity for Accounting students from different years to network.
