During this month, the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) was visited by 3 foreign universities.

The first visit was from representatives from Saxion University of Applied Sciences, the Netherlands, which was on October 5, 2010.  They had a meeting with the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Research and Community Services, Dr. B.M. In November 2010, another representative from Saxion University of Applied Sciences is going to visit FEB UGM to further discuss an agreement.

On October 13, 2010, delegations from ESC Rennes School of Business and the University of Rennes, initiated by Campus France Jakarta, visited FEB UGM. They introduced the program at ESC Rennes School of Business to the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Research and Community Service, Dr. B.M. Purwanto, M.B.A., and  Vice Dean for Students, Alumni, Cooperation, & Business Development, Prof. Dr. Drs. Wihana Kirana Jaya, M.Soc.Sc. At the meeting, it was also discussed about the possibility of setting up cooperation between FEB GUM and ESC Rennes School of Business, especially on student exchange in bachelor and master levels, and joint research programs.

The last visit was from the University of Queensland, Australia. There were two activities from these delegations. First was the Guest Lecture: Poverty Reduction through Economic Policies, delivered by Dr. Fabrizio Carmignani, senior lecturer from the University of Queensland.  More than 50 students from undergraduate and postgraduate programs attended the lecture.

At the same time, Ms. Rumi Goto, Liaison Officer of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law (BEL), University of Queensland, gave a presentation to the students of the International Undergraduate Program FEB UGM about the Double Degree Program in UQ.

This series of international visits shows that FEB UGM continues to widen its cooperation and networking to meet the international challenge.
