The Alumni Association of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (KAFEGAMA) class of 1995 demonstrated its commitment to supporting its alma mater by donating 20 laptops to FEB UGM students. The contribution will facilitate and enhance students’ academic journeys.
The 30th reunion committee donated during the event themed “9uyub 5aklawase: Duit Bisa Dicari, Reuni Kapan Lagi,” held on Saturday, September 6. The event, attended by 180 alumni, was filled with warmth, camaraderie, and nostalgia.
The FEB UGM alums enjoyed a lively atmosphere as they reminisced about their student days. They toured the campus with a sense of nostalgia, revisiting classrooms and spaces that once witnessed their academic journey and friendships. They also visited Balairung UGM, a historic site that holds many memories of student life at UGM.
Agus Sunarno, the chair of the KAFEGAMA 1995 reunion committee, emphasized that the purpose of the reunion, which took place 30 years later, was to reconnect alums and cherish their memories.
“Thirty years is not a short time, and even though many of us have spread out, we remain one big family of FEB UGM,” he said.
Dean of FEB UGM, Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, M.Com., Ak., CA., warmly welcomed the alums who returned to campus. He hoped that alumni would continue contributing to the faculty’s development.
“We look forward to receiving input from alumni to support the advancement of the faculty. Contributions in the form of mentoring and motivation for our students are also highly valuable,” he remarked.
Meanwhile, Bimo Wijayanto, S.E., Ak., M.B.A., Ph.D., representative of KAFEGAMA 1995 and Director General of Taxes, shared an inspiring story from his college years. He recalled how FEB UGM lecturers, who had just returned from their Ph.D. studies abroad, instilled essential values in him: confidence, leadership, sustainable business, and sustainable accounting.
