Providing collaborative spaces is one of the key elements in building a productive and innovative academic culture. Through its collaboration with BNI, FEB UGM presents Bhumi by Moikai as a space that supports interaction and creates new collaboration opportunities for the UGM academic community and industry partners.
The Dean of FEB UGM, Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, S.E., M.Com., Ak., CA., welcomed the collaboration between FEB UGM and BNI in providing a collaborative space for the FEB UGM academic community. The presence of Bhumi by Moikai will transform the space into a safe and comfortable place for students to discuss and collaborate.
“Students need a safe and comfortable space to study until late at night. The presence of a place like this is invaluable while also providing real-world experience for students in the business and professional environment, as well as becoming a collaboration hub for students, lecturers, and industry partners,” he said during the inauguration of Bhumi by Moikai on Friday (6/2).
The Branch Manager of the BNI UGM Branch Office, Dyah Charmaningtyas, stated that this collaboration is the result of a long discussion aimed at building a broader learning ecosystem, including strengthening financial literacy and entrepreneurship.
“We want to provide a space that encourages collaboration, not only for studying but also for building business ideas and innovations. In the future, we hope to hold sharing sessions, business and coffee education programs, and provide development programs for MSMEs and students,” said Dyah.
The Director of PT Moikai Kopi Indonesia, Ika Kurniati, explained that Bhumi by Moikai was born from the idea of creating an inclusive space open to students, lecturers, and communities.
“We are committed to serving high-quality coffee, providing warm service, and offering a comfortable space for studying and discussions. We hope this place can bring benefits to the surrounding community,” Ika said.
The inauguration event series also included a joint prayer, a networking session, and an introduction to the menu and coffee products served at Bhumi by Moikai. The presence of this new café will create a space that supports productivity and creativity while strengthening collaboration between academia and industry.
