The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UGM won first place in the Inter-Faculty Team Badminton Championship in commemoration of the 76th Anniversary, which took place on 3-6 November 2025 at the Lembah UGM Sports Hall. The Badminton Championship was participated in by representatives from faculties and schools within UGM, competing in five doubles matches: two men’s doubles, one men’s veterans doubles, one mixed doubles, and one women’s doubles.
FEB UGM fielded 13 players in the badminton championship. They were Sari Sitalaksmi, M.Mgt., Jovita Angela, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., Rokhima Rostiani, S.E., M.Mgt. , Jihan Fadhila, Ahmad Kurniawan, Handayani, Jhonson Hindiarto, Dwi Kisworo, Intan Agus Purwanto, Danang Eko Fibrianto, Wahyu Wijayanto, Tri Anggara Ari Prasetya, and Bashori.
The manager of the FEB UGM badminton team and Head of the UGM Administration, Finance and General Affairs Team, Slamet Mulyadi, S.Sos., expressed his pride in the achievements of the FEB UGM badminton team, which won first place in the badminton championship held in conjunction with the 76th Anniversary of the university. The FEB UGM team fought hard and demonstrated their best performance in every stage of the competition, enabling them to win the championship title. Spirit, patience, understanding, and teamwork were the keys to the FEB team’s success in reclaiming the badminton championship title after several years of being runners-up.
“We are proud of this achievement. FEB UGM successfully secured the first position in 2025, having previously settled for second place in 2024 and 2023. Hopefully, the FEB UGM team can maintain this achievement in the future,” he hoped.
The participation of the FEB UGM team in this badminton championship is one way of demonstrating their commitment to fostering a healthy and inclusive campus environment. This aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 5: Gender Equality, SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, and SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.
