On Tuesday (9/01), the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), held a Self-Development Program for Education Personnel to open in 2024. The program was broadcast online via Zoom Meetings and live at YouTube channel: Fakultas Ekonomika dan Bisnsi UGM, moderated by Dr. Sahid Susilo Nugroho, M., Sc. The theme "Origins of Disease and How to Prevent and Overcome It Wisely" was presented by dr. Zaidul Akbar, a resource person and practitioner of sunnah medicine in Indonesia.

Behind the romanticism of Yogyakarta, persisting issues are concealed. Waste overshadows the beauty of the region. As of July 2023, the Yogyakarta Regional Government closed the Piyungan Final Disposal Site (TPA) due to the increasing quantity of waste. Approximately 700 tons of garbage enter the Piyungan TPA daily, with food waste dominating at 56 per cent, followed by plastic waste at 24 per cent. This reality highlights the low awareness of Yogyakarta's community regarding waste management.

Head of the Administration Office of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), Agus Ridwan, M.M., reported on the self-development innovation program for educational staff that has been organized by FEB UGM throughout 2023, covering six different programs with a total seventeen hours of lessons. These lesson hours can be used by educational staff to meet the personal development credit figures determined by UGM within one year. "We started this specifically for essential knowledge that supports our performance," he said.

The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) has several disability-friendly facilities. This facility is a big step for FEB UGM to create a more inclusive and friendly environment for all academics and professional staff. Disabled-friendly facilities at FEB UGM include a wheelchair ramp, disabled-friendly bathroom and passenger lift. Ram for wheelchairs provides easier access for academics with disabilities to enter buildings and rooms. Apart from that, with this RAM, disabled academics can feel more independent and less dependent on other people's help in mobility. Furthermore, disabled-friendly bathrooms are specially designed to have accessibility features such as handrails, ample space for wheelchair manoeuvring, and non-slip surfaces. This feature makes it easier for academics with disabilities to use this facility more safely and comfortably. Pin terms of mobility between floors, passenger lifts make it easier for them to access different floors in faculty buildings, from Pertamina Tower, the Faculty Building, to the Learning Center Building. In total, there are more than 33 disabled-friendly facilities that support the safety and comfort of people with disabilities at FEB UGM.

On Monday (18/12), the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) conducted a self-development session for professional staff. This self-development session, "Good Money Habits for a Great Life," was conducted online. The event began with singing the national anthem, "Indonesia Raya," and the university anthem, "Himne Gadjah Mada". The program continued with a welcome speech from Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Collaboration, and Alumni of FEB UGM.

In order to disseminate research by students and lecturers, the Faculty of Economics and Business, Gadjah Mada University (FEB UGM), held an FEB UGM Research Day, or FEB UGM Research Dissemination Day on Friday (15/12). This activity collaborates with the Accounting Laboratory, Economics Laboratory, Management Laboratory, and Economics and Business Training and Research (P2EB). FEB UGM Research Day was held in the Learning Center Auditorium on the 8th floor of FEB UGM. Before the day, FEB UGM invited undergraduate and postgraduate students to contribute by sending research results in the form of posters, abstracts and papers. The holding of FEB UGM Research Day is in line with SDGs Goal 4, Quality Education, and Goal 9, Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.
