Based on the Decree of the Rector of UGM on November 8th, 2010 No. 677/P/SK/HT/2010 that undergradute program graduation activities and vocational schools, Universitas Gadjah Mada in the period November 2010 to cancel. For Graduates who still want to follow the graduation ceremony will be combined with a ceremonial graduation period of February 2011.

Disaster Response Unit (DERU) UGM together with the Faculty of Economics (FE) University of Indonesia (UI) and the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UGM on Thursday (4 / 11), distribute aid at refugee camp on Balerante, Kemalang, Klaten, Central Java. Which is only about 5.5 km from Merapi’s peak. In this area, hundreds of people, mostly men, are still try to survive at their own house, while rest of their families has been relocated at saver refugee camp on Bawukan.

Due to the widespread impact of natural disasters the eruption of Mount Merapi in Yogyakarta, the academic activities on Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada are closed temporarily, start from today (Friday, 05/11) until November 13th, 2010 and will be open again on Monday, November 15th, 2010.

On Wednesday (27/10), FEB UGM visited by Regional Office of Directorate General of Taxation (Kanwil DJP) DIY, led by the Chief of Kanwil DJP DIY Djangkung Sudjarwadi. This visit as a part of celebrating Tax Socialization day on Oct 28, 2010, to obtain feedback from taxpayers about DHP’s service so far. This feedback will be used as a reference for a national tax policy making.

During this month, FEB UGM were visited by 3 foreign universities.
First visit was representatives from Saxion University of Applied Sciences, the Netherland, which was on October 5, 2010. They had a meeting with the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Research and Community Services, Dr. B.M. Purwanto, MBA. The aim of this meeting was to discuss about the possibilities of cooperation. On November 2010, another representative from Saxion University of Applied Sciences are going to visit FEB UGM to further discuss of an agreement.
