The Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) has shown its concern for students affected by the earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). This support is intended to help students continue their studies smoothly despite the difficult circumstances their families are facing as a result of the disaster.
The Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs at FEB UGM, Bayu Sutikno, S.E., M.S.M., Ph.D., expressed his deepest condolences to the residents affected by the earthquake in NTT. As a gesture of solidarity, FEB UGM is providing free lunches to students affected by the NTT earthquake for one month in September 2026.
“As a gesture of solidarity and support, particularly for FEB UGM students, we are providing free meal vouchers at the FEB UGM Cafeteria for one month to FEB UGM students affected by the disaster,” explained Bayu on Thursday (August 27) at FEB UGM.
In addition to providing free lunch vouchers, FEB UGM is also conducting a needs assessment and monitoring of students affected by the disaster. These efforts are being carried out by the Career and Student Development Unit (CSDU), in collaboration with the academic team, to gain a more comprehensive understanding of students’ conditions and needs.
This initiative is part of FEB UGM’s commitment to ensuring that students continue to receive support while facing this emergency. Assistance will be provided with due consideration for each student’s individual circumstances, academic needs, and any other necessary support.
FEB will continue to monitor the condition of students affected by the disaster. We hope that students can continue their studies smoothly and that the people of NTT affected by the disaster are always given strength and resilience, and that recovery efforts proceed smoothly,” he said.
