The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), once again provided support for its students during the Final Examination (UAS) period of the Even Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year through the Mood Booster program. Organized by the Career and Student Development Unit (CSDU), this initiative has become a regular item on the FEB UGM agenda during examination periods. The program featured free breakfast, affirmation stickers, and a Wall of Hope where students could share hopes, encouragement, and positive messages with one another.
Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of FEB UGM, Dr. Bayu Sutikno, S.E., M.S.M., Ph.D., also expressed his support for students undergoing the examination period.
“To all students, we wish you the very best and encourage you to stay motivated throughout the exams. Uphold honesty and integrity at all times,” he said.
Anisa Yuliandri, S.Psi., M.Psi., a psychologist at CSDU FEB UGM, explained that the program aims to support students’ physical and mental well-being during exams.
“Examination periods often lead students to focus heavily on academic preparation while neglecting basic needs, such as eating properly and getting enough rest. Through the distribution of breakfast, motivational stickers, and the Wall of Hope, we hope to provide additional support and encouragement for students,” she explained.
The program received positive responses from students. Haris Nadi Muhammad (Management 2025) shared that the initiative has been particularly helpful in saving both time and expenses as a student living away from home.
“I first learned about the program through FEB UGM’s Instagram account. Honestly, I was initially interested because of the free breakfast. However, after participating, I realized how helpful it is. During exams, I often do not have time to buy breakfast because I need to study or arrive early. I hope this program will continue and grow in the future,” he said.
A similar sentiment was expressed by Frentin V. Sihombing (Accounting 2025). As an out-of-town student, she found the free breakfast program beneficial for maintaining her physical condition during exams.
“I have been participating since my first semester. As a student living in a boarding house who sometimes does not have time for breakfast, this program helps me avoid feeling weak during exams and allows me to focus better on studying. If I had to rate it from one to ten, I would give it a ten,” she said.
She also appreciated the faculty’s attention to student well-being through simple yet impactful initiatives. According to her, programs like this demonstrate that the faculty genuinely cares about students who often face academic pressure, lack of rest, and difficulties with meal planning during examination periods.
Through the Mood Booster program, FEB UGM hopes that students can go through the examination period with better physical and mental well-being, enabling them to perform at their best in every course assessment.
